摘要：ABSTRACT :The design of university geographical information systems web in DKI Jakartais motivated by the desire of new students to continue their education to higherlevels and difficulties in obtaining information about university and itsdepartments. It also helps new students in determining their preferred university.The software used in this map application are Arcview version 3.3,MapviewSVG, and web application tools of Dreamweaver 8 as a text editor,XAMPP as a Web server and PHP as a programming language. The design ofthis GIS web starts from data collecting, carried with digitizing spatial data andentering the data into attribute table theme which converting file of .shp into afile type .svg. A map file with the output type of .svg and .html will beproduced. The process continued with web-making starts from the design viewof web pages, database system design and then the process of implementing ofthe web pages and database creation. The end result of this process will becombined, forming a university geographic information system web in Jakarta.The existence of this website is expected to help people especially new studentsin satisfying their needs.
