摘要:One way to preserve the life of the shell is to keep and to take care of theneighborhood of the pollution. Environmental pollution can lead to life andshellfish habitats disturbed. To prevent the pollution one of the ways is made anautomatic distem which is used to determine respiratory activity (circulatingwater) at the shell based on the water condition changes due to pollutants. Thissystem consists of the Wheatstone bridge and instrumentation amplifier, analogto digital converter (ADC), Microcontroller, and serial communications devicesconnected to the computer. In practice, strain gauge sensors are placed on onearm of Wheatstone bridge. The resistance changes of strain gauge due torespiration (water motion) will change output voltage of the Wheatstone bridge. The voltage is then amplified in order to obtain a bias voltage which will be readby the ADC circuit. Digital voltages generated by the ADC become entry dataused by the microcontroller. The data is then sent to a computer via the RS 232serial communication device. Measurements are based on changes in water flowfrom the shell as a function of environmental condition where shells live. Fromthe experimental results it is obtained the voltage magnitude curve as a functionof time with pollution as a parameter.
