摘要：Until recent times the music in the city of Irún (Guipúzcoa) drew hardly the interest of researchers. However, different studies have demonstrated in recent years the importance played by music in this Spanish city. This article first focus on the study of the music chapel at the Church of Santa Maria del Juncal, principal ecclesiastical institution in Irún, since the end of 18th century until 1860, taking into account its composition, the main festivities according to the liturgical calendar, functions of the musical components of the music chapel, etc. and the background of the chapel masters-organists who have held this position between 1780 and 1860, among which stand out Miguel de Balzola, Agustín Cayetano de Echaide and Juan Antonio Prol.
