摘要:Eating and drinking are essential needs of every human being in every culture and society, and its lack leads to obvious and objective damage. Therefore, food and water becomes moral in terms of universal human right to eat and drink, one of those rights that give and preserve life. However, humanity lives in a grave and intolerable situation of famine, due to structural factors such as international trade and financial policies, production of biofuels, and the abandonment of consumption agriculture, among others. This scenario requires a deep rethinking of public policy on food and drinking water, departing from its conceptualization as public goods, and not as mere commodities.
