摘要:This article is a reflection on a specific manifestationof social contemporary complexity: the contradictoryobservation of solidarity practices. Chilean society isanalyzed and described in general terms as individualistic, a society in which a lack of interest in collectiveprojects prevails. We base our arguments in secondorder observations, applied to discourses of graterimpact in social communication about solidarity andits changes, and in the conclusions of local studiesthat we have conducted on these matters. We raisethe hypothesis - not conclusive - that recent modernization projects, with a radical neoliberal character, although they are based in the promotion of self interests, competitiveness and success sustained in personal merits, they do not disallow the associative andcommunitarian links, but they register them undernew codes, and therefore, under new expectations. Finally, we explore the projections and requirementsthat these new forms of social collaboration have forthe organizations that are based on, or canalize, socialvoluntary work.
