摘要:An investigation is made on the Hall current effect on thermal instability of a compressible; conducting Walter’s elastico-viscous fluid in porous medium is considered. Following the linearized stability theory and normal mode analyses the dispersion relation is obtained. For the case of stationary convection, Hall currents and magnetic field has stabilizing as well as destabilizing effect on thermal instability of Walter’s elastico-viscous fluid with porous medium. In case of Rivlin-Ericksen fluid hall current only have destabilizing effect, but in case of Walter’s fluid, having both effects as stabilizing as well as destabilizing on the system. Moreover, medium permeability has only destabilizing effect on the system is different result from Revilin-Ericksen fluid with Hall current thermal instability convection in porous medium with suspended particles. The critical Rayleigh numbers and the wave numbers of the associated disturbances for the onset of instability as stationary convection are obtained and the behavior of various parameters on critical thermal Rayleigh numbers has been depicted graphically. The magnetic field, Hall currents and viscoelasticity parameter are found to introduce oscillatory modes in the systems, which were not existence in the absence of these parameters. Effect of compressibility is postpone the onset of convection also studied.
