摘要：The following article presents an interpretation of a survey applied to those who have been involved with the field of Fine Arts in Bucaramanga, Colombia, during the last five years (2008- 2012). It shows the perceptions that both the viewing public and artists have about arts and about those who work in the field, as well as the requirements that artist must have in order to be recognized as such. Finally, after a statistical analysis we review four artists who had the most incidence in the surveys, and propose a diagnosis of the state the local visual arts scene
