摘要：Una de las características de la sociedad de la información en el siglo XXI es la fuerza de las imágenes para contar, con un mínimo de palabras, los pormenores visuales de las noticias. Pero el periodismo de calidad pretende ofrecer algo más, y el todavía reciente ataque sobre Nueva York y Washington ha vuelto a señalar que existen diferencias entre la prensa y la televisión, entre mostrar e interpretar las noticias. Para conocer las verdaderas causas de los hechos, el complemento necesario de la información televisiva ha sido la prensa que, con matices diferentes en Europa y Estados Unidos, ha reafirmado su papel más reflexivo ante acontecimientos de esta magnitud.
其他摘要：One of the main characteristics in todays society of mass media is the power of the image in conveing with the minimum words the visual details of some news.Yet journalism of good quality pretends to offer even more. The still recent attacks on New York and Washington have shown once more that there are differences between the press and television, in the showing and in the interpretatin of the news. To know about the real causes of the events, the press has been the necessary complement reaffirming, with different shades in Europe and in the United States, the greater possibility of thinking over events of such magnitud.
