  • 摘要:To understand physical education student’s body conceptions is important to analyze how their formation and social determinations is influencing their way of thinking, which can impact on theirs posterior professional intervention. This way, the scientific question of this text is to know if: “Does exist differences between body conceptions of academic students of 1st and 8th period of two graduation courses?”. The general objective is to identify and compare the body conceptions of 1st and 8th period of physical education graduation courses (licensure) of two teaching institutions of Goiás. This descriptive research with qualitative analyzes was made by a questionnaire specially elaborated to this research that it was applied with 143 students of Physical Education Licensure of the two Universities. The results show that the body conceptions are near the hegemonic paradigms, directed to an understanding of instrumental body, showing that is necessary a better discussion in the academic environment.
