摘要:The role of women in agriculture has notably chanced during last years, elapsing from landmark of familiar framework to the role of households manager, and it represents a great theme of interest in agricultural economics studies. The aim of this paper is to find differences between farms conducted by women on the basis of their attributes and of different strategies that they adopt, to verify points of strenghtness and weakness beside those conducted by men and to furnish suggestions to political interventions in favour of feminine agriculture. The analysis is based on the 5th Agricultural Census data and shows the advancements of feminine households, mostly in larger units linked to attended competitiveness and sustainable competitiveness, however deep presence of women in agriculture is in the a-competitiveness area. Female agriculture presents several difficulties: limited factorial equipments, relational capital deficiency, risk aversion, that forbids women to evolves their great social role in development of rural areas. However those hurdles could be overcome with a public intervention that aim to improve the access to land capital, stimulate the cooperation, decrease the precariousness and enhance services in rural areas.
