摘要：CAP Reform, application of food safety discipline by agricultural producers and EU enlargement, make the future of European agriculture more uncertain. European producers have also to consider the new opportunities arising from the higher exposure of EU agriculture to world market. Farm income will depend more and more from entrepreneurship of each producer than from European subsidies. The ability of producers will have to provide for an efficient organization of their farm in order to be competitive on international markets and overtake the disadvantages of fragmentation of supply. National legislator have shown their willingness to renew and deeply revise economic farmers’ associations and intersectoral relations among economic agents, upstream and downstream of the production process. This paper describes in detail the innovations introduced with the new discipline on producers associations and, from an economic analysis perspective, the study will focus on the issues of the choice of strategies and transaction costs of the different organization’s solutions.
