摘要:This paper discusses the concept of distance in learning activities as well the trend for a convergence of conventional and virtual education. Three different types of distance and three different types of relationship, in which the learners can perceive a sense of proximity, are identified. In order to provide a way for comparing between different learning activities, with respect to their proximity potential, we propose a metric which grades each activity with a value ranging from zero (maximum distance) to 100 (maximum proximity).
