  • 摘要:The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between emotion understanding and mental synthesis in a group of Italian children (6-11 years), using the Test of Emotion Comprehension (Albanese & Molina, 2008) and Creative Mental Synthesis Task (Antonietti, 1999). Results showed that emotion understanding and mental synthesis ability increased with age and that there was a reciprocal relationship between the two processes. Future investigations could be carried out in order to analyze the presence of this relationship in preschoolers.
