摘要：The ICT developments and advances dramatically have changed how to do research and technological improvements inside Universities, Centers and Research Institutes. The scientists are commonly interested in studying, modeling and simulating the complex systems. This complexity requires the establishment of multidisciplinary teams in order to work collaboratively interchanging resources and knowledge. The use of the Grid Technology is very important for Science development because the institutions and research groups can share resources that are not often available and expensive. This is the new emerging paradigm of the e-Science. With this purpose the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) is participating in the EELA-2 project. The objectives of the project, the implementation methodology, and the future plans of the institution with this infrastructure are presented.
