摘要:This study used the concept of bi-directional of work family conflict (WFC) that distinguishes work conflict (WIF) from family conflict (FIW), to test the effect of both of them to withdrawal behavior of 110 dual-earner couples, who were living together with children. The data were obtained by questionnaire from respondents who work as government’s bank official, and also their partner. The aim of the study was to analyze and examine the spillover effect of WFC to withdrawal behavior; lateness, absenteeism, and turnover. Correlation and multivariate analysis showed that the study supports the withdrawal behavior hypotheses. The result showed that lateness and absenteeism of respondent and partner were influenced by work conflict and family conflict. However, the family conflict had a dominant effect. Hence, exploring and distinguishing the construct of FIW from WIF is simportant to do. Finally, this fact supported the concept of bi-directional of WFC.
