摘要：Abstract: The research aims to know the component of the expenditure of public senior high school student based on geoeconomy in East Java Province, to know the amount of the expenditure of public senior high school student in a year, and to know whether the difference on the expenditure of public senior high school student based on geoeconomy really exists. The applied design was quantitative design with comparative descriptive analysis technique. The data collection was carried out with the questionnaire technique. Education costing components include direct and indirect costs. It is estimated that a student spends ± Rp 10,940,000.00 per year. There is significant difference on the expenditure of public senior high school student based on geoeconomy in East Java Province. The highest education cost that must be paid by students can be found in Gresik, Batu, Surabaya, and last in Banyuwangi. Keywords: expenditure, Public Senior High School student, geoeconomy Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan komponen expenditure siswa SMAN berdasarkan geoekonomi di Provinsi Jawa Timur, mendeskripsikan besarnya expenditure siswa SMAN per tahun, dan mengetahui adanya perbedaan expenditure siswa SMAN berdasarkan geoekonomi. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis deskriptif komparatif. Pengumpulan data dengan teknik kuesioner. Banyak komponen pembiayaan pendidikan yang terdiri biaya langsung dan tak langsung. Siswa mengeluarkan biaya ± Rp 10.940.000,00/tahun. Ada perbedaan yang signifikan expenditure siswa SMAN berdasarkan geoekonomi di Provinsi Jawa Timur. Biaya pendidikan paling tinggi ditanggung siswa di wilayah Gresik, wilayah Batu, wilayah Surabaya, yang terakhir wilayah Banyuwangi. Kata Kunci : expenditure, siswa SMA, geoekonomi
