摘要:Teaching Practices of Technical Education (from 15 to 18 years old students) is an aspect of Venezuelan Education that has been rarely been studied at length. The aim of this investigation is to explore and interpret the processes of this practice within a group of technical schools in the State of Mérida, Venezuela. The research is designed to describe the main features of teaching processes, the perspectives from which technical education is understood and further, strategies for its implementation; considering both teaching practice and theoretical reflections. Building on a series of general parameters, it explores possible proposals for teaching technical education (in Venezuela). Methodologically, the research is qualitative and ethnographical. Technical teaching is studied using the methods of participative observation, analysis of documentation and interviews. The results show that technical teaching can be understood according to particular and unique features: the curriculum, objectives, content, size of student groups, atmosphere in the classrooms and workshops. These characteristics form a specific identity for technical education, thereby differentiating it from other modes of teaching at the same level. It was found that that the teachers work primarily under four main strategies: work projects, guided practices, case studies and object analysis. Finally, the investigation proposes measures for improvements of the Technical Education in medium level, which could lead to innovative and better functioning models.
