摘要:The productive restructuration began during the second half of the 70's, inaugurates a new period of Capitalism, frame in which new spatial process coexist with spatial inertia derived from fordist period. In this context, the proliferation of small industrial firms in all western european economies, makes necessary to analyse in depth the industrial natality as a fundamental key to understand not only the spatial logic of the industry, but also the opportunities for historically less favoured regions offers this phenomenon. In this respect, although we are far from the efforts of other social disciplines, there is a growing interest for geographers in the creation of new firms in relation to the environmental starting conditions.
