摘要：The aim of this article is to show that the teaching of anatomy in the General Hospital of Madrid was established in 1689, as a part of the widespread movement of renovation in medicine and science during the last years of the reign of Charles II (1665-1700). The different occupants of the hospital's chair of anatomy until 1728, their different backgrounds and professional careers are revisted, using hitherto unknown sources for the purpose.
