摘要:The regimina pestis or plague treatises are the main literary genre where late medieval doctors reflected their medical concern about plague and pestilences. These medical texts, in which some practical recommendations were given to people to avoid and/or cure the effects of epidemic disease of high letality, were developed since the outbreak of the epidemic in 1348. The text now presented is a treatise on plague written by the «licenciado Vázquez», a converso from the archbishopric of Toledo who was tried by the Inquisition at the beginning of the 16 th Century.
