摘要:Modern academic thinking in fields as diverse as economics, sociology, bioethics, law or politics frequently calls for a reconfiguration of our public institutions from a more humanising anthropological perspective to make them more conducive to people’s happiness. Among the approaches used to focus on this demand, the Thomist distinction between the individual and the persona has come to the fore. One of the most systematic and enlightening theories in this regard is that of French philosopher Jacques Maritain. In this paper we analyse his anthropological approach to conclude that, with positive and negative aspects, it may be of great interest approach to deepen this social debate and so help develop a new anthropological theory more geared towards people and their goals.
