摘要：O objetivo deste artigo é analisar a construção de sentidos sobre Iberê Camargo no discurso da crítica veiculada em jornais brasileiros no ano da morte do artista, 1994. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida em um corpus de 15 documentos oriundos da Hemeroteca da Fundação Iberê Camargo. Partimos de uma perspectiva construcionista do jornalismo, entendendo que a linguagem atua na construção de sentidos e que a subjetividade do sujeito opera na construção e na seleção de conteúdos. Através do aporte teórico-metodológico da Análise do Discurso, encontramos quatro formações discursivas nas quais predominam os seguintes sentidos em relação ao artista: O Grandioso, O Trágico, O Lutador e O Polemista. Além disso, constatamos que o discurso do herói se fez presente nos quatro sentidos encontrados e aprofundamos outras questões que compõem essas discursividades.Palavras-chave: jornalismo, crítica jornalística, discurso, Iberê Camargo.
其他摘要：The objective of this article is to analyze the construction of meanings about the artist Iberê Camargo in critical discourse published in Brazilian newspapers in the year of the artist’s death, 1994. The research was developed on a corpus of 15 documents from Iberê Camargo Foundation Documental Archive. We start from a journalism constructionist perspective, understanding that language operates in the construction of meaning, and subjectivity operates in the construction and selection of content. Through the Discourse Analysis theory and method, this research found four predominant stances of meaning in relation to the artist: The Great, The Tragic, The Fighter and The Polemicist. Besides, we found that the speech of the hero was present in the four meanings and we went through other questions that compose these discourses in an attempt to understand how these meanings stand out.Keywords: journalism, journalism review, discourse, Iberê Camargo.
