摘要：After some theoretical considerations of Paul Tillich regarding the question of power, this work deals with different positions and practices in the History of Christianity about theology and violence, mainly in the Medieval and Modern Age, and also underlines the proposal of the World Council of Churches considering the years 2001-2010 the "Decade to overcome violence".
