摘要：A tecnologia de informação (TI) é um dos componentes mais importantes do ambien- te empresarial atual, oferecendo grandes oportunidades para as empresas que têm sucesso no aproveitamento de seus benefícios. Este artigo apresenta as dimensões do uso de TI e a relação entre os benefícios oferecidos pelo uso de TI e o desempenho empresarial, tendo como base a estrutura de benefícios de TI no desempenho empresarial. A metodologia utilizada é o estudo de caso numa empresa líder de seu setor, com investimento significativo em TI e que, a partir do estudo, passou a utilizar tal instrumento para a avaliação e acompanhamento dos gastos e investimentos nessa tecnologia. A contribuição do artigo é a identificação dos benefícios oferecidos pela TI e a relação com o desempenho empresarial, fornecendo subsídios importantes para a sua administração.
其他摘要：Information technology (IT) has been considered one of the most important com- ponents in the current business environment, offering opportunities for companies that successfully take advantage of its benefits. The main purpose of this article is to present the IT usage dimensions and the relationship between the benefits offered by using information technology and business performance, based on the structure of its benefits in business performance. The used methodology is a case study in a leading company that has a significant IT investment, and which, as a result of this study, started using this tool for evaluating and monitoring its costs and investments in this technology. The contribution is the identification of the benefits offered by the use of IT and the relationship with business performance, offering important insights to its management.
