摘要：Este artigo apresenta uma rápida visão dos caminhos da historiografia americana aos caminhos do ensino da História da América no Brasil, salientando três aspectos: a) as imagens fundadoras da América, transparentes nas obras que constituem a historiografia americana; b) as imagens que o Brasil construiu sobre a América Latina e sobre si mesmo; c) o peso dessas imagens influenciando nos espaços dedicados aos estudos de América. 其他摘要：This article presents a brief survey of the demarche of the American historiography and the teaching of the History of the America in Brazil. It points out three aspects: the founding images of America in the American historiography; the Brazilian composed images of the Latin America; the influence of these images in the American studies.
