摘要:The aim of this paper is to examine the National Curriculum Guidelines, an official federal document on the Brazilian educational system. It does so by drawing a parallel between the Guidelines and the contemporary context of the neoliberal globalized world from a reading of the document. It analyzes the dilemmas, contradictions and convergences between the Guidelines (drawn up as an inspiration for the Brazilian undergraduate educational system) and the political, economic, educational and cultural presuppositions of the neoliberal model of society. So, this text is based on ideas which are vital for such an analysis, namely, globalization, ideology, curriculum, power etc.
