摘要：O propósito deste artigo é apresentar algumas contribuições teóricas sobre a Sociologia da Infância e refletir a respeito das repercussões desse novo subcampo da Sociologia na compreensão e na educação das crianças. Para atingir esses objetivos, fez-se uma revisão bibliográfica que permitiu uma visão panorâmica sobre a evolução das representações da infância, observar as perspectivas de investigações empíricas sobre as crianças e identificar o modelo de socialização predominante na atualidade. Em consequência das transformações sociais, das representações, das novas modalidades de socialização, compreendeu-se a “infância transnacional” caracterizada pela mobilidade, pela comunicação em redes, pelo uso de artefatos. Isso, porque a criança é ativa, possui uma identidade própria, é ao mesmo tempo sujeito e ator social. Em decorrência disso, a relação educador/educando deve ser caracterizada pela proteção da liberdade, pelo estímulo ao diálogo, o que só é possível se a autoridade for exercida de modo “horizontal”.
其他摘要：The aim of this article is to present some theoretical reflections on the Sociology of Childhood and discuss the repercussions of this new subsection of Sociology for understanding and educating children. So a bibliographic review is undertaken to present an overview of the evolution of childhood representations, observe the perspectives of empirical investigations on children and identify the predominant socialization model of the present time. As a result of social transformation and of the representations and new modes of socialization, a “transnational childhood” comes about, characterized by mobility, network communication and the use of artifacts, because a child is active, has its own identity and is at the same time subject and social actor. Consequently, the educator/learner relationship should be characterized by protection of freedom, encouragement of dialogue, all of which is possible only if authority is exercised in a ‘horizontal’ manner.
