摘要：When if it is spoken about the financial administration, the practice of the registration and of the control for the personal computer and small companies, added to an administration that values the economical and financial balance, it is revealed extremely important for the organizations to face with better back-up the hostile conditions of the new times. The cash flow is a of the financial instruments that makes possible the planning of the entrances and exits of resources of the box, making possible that the actions are taken in advance. It is a powerful instrument of electric outlet of decision that orientates the managerial planning. In this work, a study is presented accomplish in the city of Januária, north of the State of Minas Gerais, about the perception and use of the cash flow as managerial tool in the personal computer and small companies of the area. The research was accomplish the companies associated to the Camera of Leaders Lojistas of the city close to. It was looked for to characterize the perception of the personal computer and small entrepreneurs in what it concerns the importance that feels to the cash flow as administration instrument and with relationship to your use form in the financial administration of your enterprises. Another studied subject was the verification of possible existent relationships between the use of the cash flow and the success in the managerial actions.↓Quando se fala de gestão financeira, a prática do registro e do controle pelas micro e pequenas empresas, somado a uma gestão que valoriza o equilíbrio econômico e financeiro, revela-se extremamente importante para que as organizações enfrentem com melhor respaldo as condições hostis dos novos tempos. O Fluxo de Caixa é um dos instrumentos financeiros que possibilita o planejamento das entradas e saídas de recursos do caixa, possibilitando que as ações sejam tomadas antecipadamente. É um poderoso instrumento de tomada de decisão que norteia o planejamento empresarial. Neste trabalho, é apresentado um estudo realizado na cidade de Januária, norte do Estado de Minas Gerais, sobre a percepção e utilização do Fluxo de Caixa como ferramenta gerencial nas micro e pequenas empresas da região. A pesquisa foi realizada junto às empresas associadas à Câmara de Dirigentes Lojistas da cidade. Buscou-se caracterizar a percepção dos micro e pequenos empresários no que concerne a importância que se dá ao Fluxo de Caixa como instrumento de gestão e quanto à sua forma de utilização na gestão financeira de seus empreendimentos. Outra questão estudada foi a verificação de possíveis relações existentes entre o uso do Fluxo de Caixa e o sucesso nas ações empresariais.
