摘要：In this paper we generalize the result obtained by C.A. Raposo etal (\cite {13}), where two dissipative termsdistributed in the whole beam was considered. In practice, it is desirable toconsider the problem with locally distributed damping. In thissense we prove the exponential stability for the Timoshenko beamby one control force, that is, one locally distributed damping inthe transverse displacement of the beam.
