  • 摘要:Objective: to identify the imaginaries that adolescents have about food and ideal weight, which are constructed from the TV programs. Materials and methods: it is a quantitative and qualitative study that focused on the”symbolic interactionism” method. Interviews, workshops and discussion groups were used to collect the date, it was done in 2007. Conclusions: adolescents’ life style and eating behaviours are mainly influenced by family, friends, and peers as well as by TV publicity. The teenagers participating in the study told that TV is the strongest influence, which promotes ideals about luxuries life style, drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes, additionally about ideal body shape in women and men. They though also that watch TV induces to eat junk food, drink sweet beverages, candies, and nutritional supplements, but TV doesn’t advertise about eating healthy food like fruits, vegetables and meat.
