摘要:During the 18 th century the nobility in the Northern parts of Europe was under political and social press, which created an ambition towards increasing cultural exclusion. This also had effects on the education of girls, which came to be fo cused on moral as well as aesthetic aspects. On the other hand, theoretical knowledge was not necessarily neglected, but it was well embedded in the French polite culture, that was used to achieve social and cultural exclusion. Some examples of education of girls are presented in this article, but it begins with a discussion on the importance of solid theoretical foundation when re searching the history of childhood.
