摘要:The objective of this piece is to reflect on the representations of femininity in women’s Boxing, through the analysis of the film "Million Dollar Baby" (2004) by Clint Eastwood. Based on a theoretical and methodological approach of social representations it is observed that the main character in the film, Maggie, is represented as a "fighter" both in and out the Boxing ring. She is a determined woman who faces social pressures and prejudice while pursuing her life objectives. Meanwhile she demonstrates strength and vigor which contributes to the deconstruction process of the myth of fragility, historically attributed to women.
