摘要:This paper has as a goal to discuss how the reflections about the body are present in Pierre Bourdieu’s sociological theory, articulating the concept of habitus and the social construction of the body. This link can be found in Bourdieu’s works in which he analyzes the incorporated dispositions, the body schema, the movements, the techniques and the uses of the body. It was also observed that Bourdieu reflects about the theme linking it in three axes, namely the body as a place of practical sense, the body as a manifestation of habitus and body as an investment of power and domination. This understanding helps in the use of the theoretical framework of analysis developed by the sociologist to investigate the socialization process, becoming an important conceptual tool.
