摘要:The aim of this text is to discuss methodological and epistemological questions related to research in Education. Initially, it is argued that there is general interest from researchers in the area of Education to find criteria to evaluate the quality of research in Education. The concern arises from the large increase of scientific production over the last twenty years, as well as many changes in themes, approaches, methodologies and contexts of research. Some questions are highlighted from those which refer to the nature of produced knowledge to the criteria used to judge research and the presuppositions of quantitative and qualitative methods. This work concludes by showing the precarious conditions of producing scientific work for students, as well as teaching staff and enumerates some challenges to be faced.
