摘要：The informationis an element in constant ascension in this century, it integrates our society and offers to the man conditions to communicate themselves and to interact with other people, cultures and nations. In this informational universe yakes placethe reading, the art to read makes possible the learning and the acquisition of new knowledg. From this perspective a research of scientific matrix was developed, aiming to analyze the contributions of the Project `Biblioteca Livro em Roda` in the reading of the pupils of 5º year of Basic Teachimg of the José Mariz and Manoel Paulino Schools, at the city of Conde-PB. Thus, a bibliographical study was become fullfilled, with intention to acquire pertinent information to the studied subject, afterwards was developed a field research with 102 pupils, being 53 from the Jose Mariz School and 49 from the Manoel Paulino School, both located in the city of Conde-PB.
